Being me

I chose a path I thought was my future
I chose love I thought would last forever

I chose a dream I thought would protect me
I chose a life I thought was serene

Little did I know it would all disappear into thin air
When a little thing called trust despair

And here I am to start something new
Being me is all I know

No love, no trust, and not expecting anything in return
Learning to embrace life as a newborn

Key to happiness

Our life is a simple riddle
Staying focused is the key

We fail at our efforts to succeed
not losing hope is all we need

Struggling is a phase
to make sure our dreams and desires
are achieved

In an attempt to finish the race
Do not forget to stop and appreciate the little things
you accomplished
